My Tenth Song (Numb Linkin Park)

The song Numb is about people not supporting you or your dreams and expecting you to walk in their footsteps (probably your guardian).  My mom was smart when she was in school (getting part-time scholarships and high GPAs...) and wants me to be like her.  Sometimes I feel too much pressure that I should work extremely hard in school like the line "Put under the pressure of walking in your shoes".  I want to do good in school but I feel like I should also be my own person.  In the line "And I know I may end up failing too" I know that I might fail in school and possibly in life if I don't listen to my mom but I think my mom was like me when she was put under pressure by somebody ("But I know you were just like me With someone disappointed in you").

My Ninth Song (Change Taylor Swift)

The song "Change" by Taylor Swift is about how you're at the bottom and it keeps happening again (at least this verse is about that) "And it's a sad picture, the final blow hits you Somebody else gets what you wanted again You know it's all the same, another time and place Repeating history and you're getting sick of it".  This song relates to my life because when I was in third grade I wanted to win an award called "Best Short Story Writer" but then I didn't win it at the award show for students (I was a nominee).  The same student also won it again in forth grade.  That's like the line "Somebody gets what you wanted again".  I did get sick of losing though so I won it in fifth grade (different school).

My Eighth Song (Because You Loved Me Celine Dion)

This song is about somebody raising you and taking care of you from when you were young.  The whole song is basically about someone taking care of you your whole life.  That relates to me because my parents have been with me my whole life and have raised and taken care of me ever since I was born.  Almost every line is about somebody taking care of you.  My parents probably have always loved me and every time I think of my parents I think of the lines "I was blessed because I was loved by you" which is in Celine Dion's song.  So the entire song relates to my life because I was raised and loved by my parents.

My Seventh Song (Boulevard Of Broken Dreams Green Day)

The song "Boulevard Of Broken Dreams" relates to because of the verse "I walk a lonely road The only one that I have ever known don't know where it goes but it's home to me and I walk alone".  When the verse says "I walk alone" I feel like I'm the only one who understands myself.  Then when it says "don't know where it goes but it's home to me" that, to me, means that I would go down a road that I didn't know what is on but as long as it led to my home.  Also there is a line in the song saying the only thing that walks with me is my shadow which relates to me because I feel like nobody knows me.

My Sixth Song (Hands Held High Linkin Park)

The song "Hands Held High" relates to my life because I want to Iraq and Afghanistan wars to end.  The song talks about war and how bad it is especially the lines "Do you see the soldiers they're out today
They brush the dust from bullet proof vests away.It's ironic at times like this you pray
But a bomb blew the mosque up yesterday".  I want to wars to end to stop this chaos like bombs as said in the song.  The line "Turn my mic up louder I got to say something" it relates to me because I want to make a change and stop the wars.

My Fifth Song (Linkin Park With You)

This song is about missing somebody.  This song reminds me of my grandfather who passed away because of the line "even though you're not with me I'm with you" meaning that even though he's not alive he lives in my heart.  Also the line "Forgot all about yesterday" because when I woke up the next morning I thought it was all a dream.  The line "Now I'm trapped in this memory" because every day I think about my grandfather and I can't not think about him.  The last line that relates to me is "And I can’t bring you back" because well I can't bring him back.

My Fourth Song (Eminem When I'm Gone)

Like the song "With You" "When I'm Gone" relates to my grandfather dying.  The line "When I'm Gone just carry on don't mourn" is probably what a late person would want for their loved ones.  This message is the same for the lines "Rejoice every time you hear the sound of my voice",  "Just know that I'm looking down on you smiling", and ""Not even feeling pain so just smile back".  "When I'm Gone" also relates to my life because if I ever died I would want loved ones to not feel pain when I'm gone.   That is how the song "When I'm Gone relates to my life.

My Third Song (Till I Collapse Eminem)

The song "Till I Collapse" relates to me personally.  The line "Cause sometimes you feel tired, feel weak, and when you feel weak, you feel like you wanna just give up" relates to me because I feel like that a lot, like I want to give up.  Then the song follows up with the line "But you gotta search within you, you gotta find that inner strength and just pull that s-it out of you and get that motivation to not give up and not be a quitter, no matter how bad you wanna just fall flat on your face and collapse" which relates to me because I try to not give up.  An example would be like when I do my homework I won't give up if I don't understand it.

My Second song (Mariah Carey bye-bye)

Like "With You" and When I'm Gone" this song tells the story about my late grandfather.  The line "Lift your head into the sky because we never say good-bye" is saying that I'll never say good-bye for sure because I know I'll see him again.  Then when the song says 'it's so hard to accept the fact that you're gone forever" because when my grandfather died I was in denial thinking that either I was dreaming or he was just passed out.  The line "it feel like you've gone too soon" I think he did die too young because he was only 54 years old and the average life expectancy is 78.4 years.

My first Song (Linkin Park Somewhere I Belong)

"Somewhere I Belong" relates to me because sometimes I'm confused about what to do as said in the line "I'll find myself today".  That line means that I'll find what I need to do today and not be confused anymore.  Like I'm confused about things like the meaning of life. This verse tells of somebody being confused about themselves which I feel like a lot. "(When this began) I had nothing to say And I get lost in the nothingness inside of me (I was confused) And I let it all out to find That I'm not the only person with these things in mind".
